About Us

At Ease With Equines is an equine-facilitated wellbeing and personal growth organisation, founded by Claire Noller and Richard Andrews.

We offer a range of wellbeing and personal growth courses, working alongside our equine co-facilitators, to support people on their journey to improve their whole self.

We are a Community Interest Company, giving confidence to anyone working with us that our focus is on making our services affordable and accessible, available to those who need it, not just those can afford it.

About Claire

Claire has owned and worked with horses for more than 20 years, studying and practicing Natural Horsemanship. She holds a diploma and is a qualified instructor in Applied Equine Behaviour. She is also an Equine Assisted Qualification (EAQ) Facilitator.

"I found horses at the age of 11, that day changed my life. I'd always been fascinated by horses, seeking them out wherever we went. When I got a riding lesson for my birthday, that was the day that carved my life into how it looks today.

"At 15 years old, my Mum and I found ourselves with a six-month-old foal called William. He has been born at the riding school where I helped out, so we'd known him since the day he was born. At the time, we also took a two-year-old rescue who lived with WIlliam. Sadly, we lost Sovereign at four-years-old, William lost his best friend and his emotions caused his behaviour to become unmanagable and everything I'd learnt went out the window. It was then we found 'natural horsemanship', a concept that was new and unique at the time but has become more widely accepted now.

"From there, we started studying horse behaviour to better understand the horses, but soon realised it was much more about us! I've spent the past 25 years learning and developing my horse skills and understanding, which in turn has been a personal journey all of its own. This includes coming across equine assisted learning, linking horse and human development together.

"I have owned the majority of my horses for a long time, they have taken me on the journey of who I am today. Other horses have arrived when I have needed to move into the next phase of my life, they have helped me through some hard times and always been there when I have needed them. I have helped them feel safe and secure, but they have done the same for me.

"I feel in this day and age that everyone should have the chance to connect with horses and get the same feelings and support I have got, and still get from them on a daily basis."

About Richard

Richard has worked within the public sector for more than 20 years in a variety of management and leadership roles, and also provides coaching services to those aspiring to take on senior roles in their organisations. He is currently completing his Equine Assisted Qualification (EAQ) facilitator training. He is also a Member of the Association for Coaching.

"I have always had an interest in people and their stories, it started in my younger years as a journalist and stayed with me as I moved into different professions, always prioritising the need to understand who my team members really were, what makes them tick, and how I could encourage them to be the best version of themselves at work. What soon became apparent to me was the importance of understanding the whole self, and so my learning journey began.

"It is not the case though that the only way of achieving an education is in a classroom. Academia has its place, but I believe our deepest learning comes from life experiences and the lessons they teach us. But to understand those lessons, to give them relevance and meaning, that is where coaching can offer the greatest benefit.

"I have Claire to thank for introducing horses into my life, to the Natural Horsemanship way of looking after them, and for allowing me to personally experience the transformational impact of working with horses. It was my 'lightbulb moment', and I feel privileged to be working with Claire to allow others to experience the same. "
